COUNSELLING SKILLS COURSE

Objectives

To teach the basics of counselling, including :empathic listening,ethics and confidentiality issues, assessments, making contracts,working with different problems, note-taking, etc.

I also provide theoretical overviews as well as skills practice in fourdifferent approaches or “models” of Counselling,namely:

Person Centred Therapy
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Psychodynamics
Cognitive Analytic Therapy – an Integrative Approach

Who might be interested in this workshop?

Either people with:

little knowledge of counselling and are undecided about which approach to pursue, or
peoplewho want to pursue further training but are required to completecertain number of training hours before being accepted on their course,or
people who work in organizations that require training in counselling.

TWO DAY INTRODUCTION TO COGNITIVE ANALYTIC THERAPY (CAT)

Objectives

Either people with a little knowledge of CAT, and/or peoplewho want to pursue a full training in CAT and for whom a two-dayIntroduction is a requirement.
